Description
Life is getting busier and noisier for many people. We are hurrying through our lives rather than living them. It has taken a toll on our health, our work, our relationships, and our family; often, we don't even notice the inner turmoil churning inside until it reaches a state of crisis.\This book is a wake-up call to help us ponder, reflect and find spiritual renewal. Cowritten by Melanie Lee, the book reflects the warm, intimate and personal ministry of Sister Elizabeth Lim, the spiritual director at Good Shepherd Oasis. If you are yearning for a break from your hectic life, Quiet Journeys will provide you wise, comforting respite as it leads you through the ancient Christian disciplines of Silence, Meditation and Reflection.\Sister Mary Elizabeth Lim is a Sister from the Congregation of Our Lady Of Charity Of The Good Shepherd in Singapore. Ever since taking her vows in 1969, she has been actively involved in spiritual accompaniment, and runs a one-on-one guided silent retreat centre called Good Shepherd Oasis. She is currently a council member of the Inter-Religious and Ecumenical Dialogue in the Singapore Archdiocese and a member of the Catholic team for the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of Christian Unity. She also holds a Doctorate of Ministry in Spiritual Guidance. Melanie Lee is a freelance writer and part-time communications lecturer who has been attending retreats at Good Shepherd Oasis since 2003. She spent six months interviewing Sister Elizabeth and researching on spiritual direction to help write this book.\Mary Elizabeth Lim, Melanie Lee
