Description
The Songs of Ascents (Psalms 120-134) were sung by Jewish pilgrims as they climbed to the temple in Jerusalem. They contain profound thoughts about God amid the painful and uncertain realities of life. They are filled with trusting and poignant prayers, and prepared the pilgrims for worship in the temple.
These psalms have continuing relevance for us today as we make our way to our churches, and provide deep stirring thoughts for pilgrims on the road of life. Using plain language and with many helpful insights, this book explains how this is so.
